Aurora at the Breathable Cities Forum in Vilnius

24 September 2026

The AURORA project was represented at the Breathable Cities Forum, an international event held in Vilnius and dedicated to improving urban air quality and creating healthier cities.

The forum brought together researchers, city representatives, policymakers, environmental specialists and other professionals to exchange knowledge, present practical solutions and discuss how cities can better respond to the challenges associated with air pollution.

An oral presentation on behalf of the AURORA project was delivered by Professor Vidmantas Vaičiulis from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU).

The presentation, entitled “Is the Health Risk Invisible? Insights from the AURORA Project”

Throughout the forum, participants heard a wide range of presentations related to air quality, public health, urban development, environmental monitoring, innovative technologies and data-driven solutions.

The event offered an important opportunity to exchange experience between researchers, municipalities and practitioners and to explore how scientific knowledge can be translated into practical action.
