Aurora at the 18th World Congress on Public Health in South Africa
6-9 September 2026

Aurora partner Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) is participating in the 18th World Congress on Public Health, organised by the World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) in South Africa.
The congress brings together public health professionals, researchers, policymakers and organisations from around the world to exchange knowledge and discuss current challenges in global health. This year’s theme, “Health Without Borders: Equity, Inclusion, and Sustainability,” highlights the importance of international cooperation and evidence-based approaches to improving health outcomes.
As part of the congress programme, V. Vaičiulis & G. Kalinienė from LSMU are presenting research at Station 2 – “Climate & One Health.” The poster presentation, titled “Forecasting Tick-Borne Encephalitis Based on Climatic Factors Using a Negative Binomial Model in the Baltic State Countries,” explores the relationship between climate-related factors and the occurrence of tick-borne encephalitis across the Baltic States.
Participation in the World Congress on Public Health provides an important opportunity for Aurora partners to share their research with an international audience, exchange expertise with public health specialists from around the world, and strengthen collaboration across institutions and countries.
